Natural Designs Woodturning

Although Anna has always enjoyed working with her hands, it wasn't until she inherited her grandfather's 1948 Shop Smith that she was introduced to woodturning.  Her passion soon became her profession.  "I strive to make pieces that are beautiful and functional. I enjoy spending time in the marshes and maritime forests near my home, and am inspired by the patterns and textures in nature.  Incorporating those images and concepts into my work keeps me trying new things."  Anna is committed to using ecologically friendly practices and uses imported wood from Certified Sustainable sources.  She supports family owned American-based business by purchasing her domestic hardwoods and domestic laminates from them.  Anna is professional member of the American Association of Woodturners and a member of the

International Association of Pen Turners, and various other craft organizations.  Anna works from her studio in South Carolina.
