Designer Joanna Craft’s signature handcrafted jewelry pieces are a mix of sterling silver, resin and spiritual inspiration. She fabricates each piece by cutting, hand stamping, texturing and soldering the silver. Pieces with the kanji symbol are printed on colorful papers and encased in bezel frames, then Joanna hand engraves the English translation of each kanji character on the back. Her latest collection features fabricated sterling silver with copper, bronze, brass and gold accents. “On some of my pieces, I collaborate with Philadelphia artist, Trudy Kraft,” she says. “Trudy paints bold canvases and I take pieces of her large works and incorporate them in my jewelry. I love using my creative energy to design and handcraft wearable art jewelry in this way,” she says. Joanna Craft personally creates every piece within her collections in her studio in Costa Mesa, California.
